Hey there, dear crocheters!
I’m very excited to introduce my latest crochet pattern – a charming stork head wall mount that can hang on your wall as a delightful decoration or, if you’re feeling extra crafty, it can double as a handy wall hook! This crochet pattern has been such a joy to create, and I’m happy share it with you. You can check out the pattern page in my shop.
A Sneak Peak
A stork head was imagined to be a part of series. A frog and a lily flower will soon join the stork and together they will create a cute bundle. Below are some photos of work in progress. The design for the frog is almost finished, but here is a bit more work to finalise the design for the lily flower. The colors right now are not matching the green-orange color scheme but I’ll adjust the colors.
All three of them are creatures of the pond, close to my heart because I used to see them quite often as a child. The stork has always been a symbol of new beginnings and good luck. I hope that when you create your own stork head, it brings a little bit of that magic into your home too.
Funktionality
What I like about this pattern is its versatility. You can keep it simple and hang the stork head as a decorative piece – in a nursery, a kids’ room, or any other space for a touch of whimsy. But if you’re looking for something more functional, just add a hook at the bottom, and voilà! You’ve got yourself a cute little hanger, perfect for holding small bags, toys, scarves, jewelry or even a baby’s onesie. Play with yarn and choose colors that match the colors of your room.
If you want to be able to hang heavy items, then you can crochet the cover for a hook so it’s the same fabric as the head above. You’ll just need to attach it to the wall with the screw. You can also use a store-bought fancy hook and hang it below the stork head. Looks really cool too.
Ready to make your own stork head wall mount?
I can’t wait to see how your stork heads turn out! Whether you hang it as a decoration or use it as a wall hook, I know it’ll add a special touch to any space.
And hey, when you’re done, don’t forget to share your creations with me on social media using the hashtag #pepikapattern. I’d love to feature your work in one of my next blog posts!
