Yarn Lamp Shade Makeover: Transforming Flea Market Finds
I recently bought two lamps from the flea market, each adorned with unappealing floral print shades. Eager to unleash my creativity, I embarked on a journey of experimentation to breathe new life into these outdated fixtures. Armed with thick white yarn, I began weaving it around the spokes of the lampshade. However, considering the need for added stability, I may use glue for the second lamp to anchor the yarn strands and prevent slippage.
Initially I was thinking about further embellishments such as pom poms to enhance the aesthetic appeal. However, upon completing the weaving process, I found myself captivated by the simplicity and elegance of my new lamp.
