Finished size: If crocheted with sport-weight cotton yarn and a 2.5 mm crochet hook, approx. measurements are: mama whale – 5″ (13 cm) in length; baby whale – 3″ (7 cm) in length; lifebelt – 2.5″ (6.5 cm) in diameter

If working with worsted weight yarn and F crochet hook approx. measurements are: mama whale – 7″ (17.5 cm); baby whale – 3.5″ (9 cm); lifebelt- 3.5″ (9 cm) in diameter

Sample whales are crocheted with 4-ply cotton yarn, sport-weight (50g/125m/137yd), and 2.5mm crochet hook.

Skill Level: The crochet whale pattern requires intermediate amigurumi crochet skills, however, it’s easy to follow.
